Downtown Phoenix Inc. is a non-profit that delivers enhanced municipal services to the Downtown business core. Downtown Phoenix Inc. and its affiliate organizations are committed to making Phoenix a vibrant urban destination and one of the nation’s great cities.
As the Social Media Editor, I managed the organization’s digital image on social media and created content that contributed to its marketing efforts and mission.
Because of the engaging social media strategy created, Downtown Phoenix Inc. was awarded Best Instagram in 2024 by Phoenix New Times.
Downtown Phoenix Inc. is active on all social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Twitter/ X.

It is important for Downtown Phoenix Inc. to connect with stakeholders on social media. Strategies for resharing posts on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram Stories, and Twitter/X were created to further increase reach and build an online community. Social monitoring is performed daily to ensure comments and messages were promptly answered.

Leading the creation of a Social Media Brand Guide, which outlines the brand voice and tone for all platforms.
Developing a content strategy for each platform, which is fluid and can easily incorporate sudden trends.
Handles the creation of social media toolkits for event partners and stakeholders. -
Utilizing photography and videography skills to capture engaging content and edit them in an engaging way.
The creation of detailed shot lists were implemented for each content opportunity to help streamline the content capture process and to ensure time was being optimized.

Through biweekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, I take a look at Downtown Phoenix Inc.’s metrics and compare them to monthly benchmarks and previous periods’ data.
With this data, I formulate my analysis of trending posts and content buckets. and create content recommendations for the upcoming content calendar.

NCAA 2024 Men’s Final Four® in Phoenix
The college basketball tournament was coming to Phoenix, and I was tasked with highlighting the community events occurring downtown, spotlighting local businesses, and promoting the organization’s Know Before You Go Guide. I led the creation of social media content for this campaign, crafting engaging posts and interactive stories to inform and excite the community. By collaborating with local businesses and event organizers (such as the City of Phoenix, Visit Phoenix, and the NCAA 2024 Men’s Final Four Local Organizing Committee), we were able to showcase the best that downtown Phoenix had to offer. The campaign not only boosted awareness and attendance but also fostered a sense of community pride and involvement.
